About the game
Terraria begins with a character, a few basic tools and a world full of materials to uncover. Dig beneath the surface, build a shelter, gather resources and craft equipment for the dangers ahead. Biomes change the enemies and rewards you find, while caves, floating islands and hidden structures make exploration worthwhile in every direction.
Progression is closely tied to discovery and preparation. New bosses and events push you to improve weapons, armor and accessories, and defeating them opens further possibilities for the world. Building is just as flexible as combat: a practical base can grow into an elaborate settlement for the people you meet. Solo and multiplayer play both support a journey that moves from simple survival to increasingly ambitious projects.
