About the game

World of Tanks is an online vehicle combat game built around armored battles. Players choose from a broad collection of tanks and tank destroyers, then enter team matches where terrain, armor angles and line of sight can decide a fight. Light vehicles scout and keep moving; heavier machines can hold a position; long-range vehicles support from a distance. Researching modules and new vehicles gradually changes the choices available in the garage.

A successful battle involves more than firing first. Players watch the minimap, learn weak spots, manage reloads and decide when to advance or relocate. Different maps create different routes for spotting, flanking and defense. Progression through national tech trees and vehicle classes gives players a reason to master several styles of combat rather than relying on one favorite tank.
